As part of the Erasmus+ program «Health, Solidarity, and Social Cohesion with Sport», EUROPROODOS VET Center Athens hosted an open event in the Attiko Alsos Park, Athens with the participation of more than twenty five (25) participants. This year’s event, which took place on May 22th 2022 and had as its theme «Active and passive sport in daily life”, drew many participants.
EUROPROODOS’s colleagues, Ms Xristianna Kolarou and Mr Alexandros Papathanasiou aimed for a life-course perspective on physical activity and sports involvement to show plausible causal relationships and pathways for the continuation of physical activity across time. They also looked at long-term monitoring data, determinants, and correlates. Participation is linked to socioeconomic level, location, and personal upward social mobility. Also, it seems that, along with gender, early physical activity is the most important factor in old age.
