In accordance with the Erasmus + program’s «Health, Solidarity, and Social Cohesion with Sport» objective, an event organised by EUROPROODOS VET Institution Corinth. The event was held on July 4th 2022 with thirty (30) participants. The Sport for Mental and Psychological Wellness mission was to raise awareness of the benefits of living a «Sport for Mental and Psychological Wellness» lifestyle by encouraging people to participate in sports activities.
Ms Eleni Dimaki, Msc psychologist, focused on the fact that sports and physical activity are encouraged as part of a healthy lifestyle. Sport and physical activity have varying effects on health in different groups for a variety of reasons. Sports and physical activity may not be enough on their own to make people live healthier lives, but when combined with other factors, they can be. Changes in the environment can have a considerable impact on the number of people who are able to participate in physical exercise as well as the conditions under which the activity takes place. Nutrition, physical activity intensity and kind, footwear and clothes, weather, injuries, stress, and sleep patterns are all factors that might have an impact on one’s health.
